Like our students, UP RVA takes small steps each and every day to close the educational equity gap by providing outstanding educational opportunities to those who need them most. Our mission is to serve individual students and create a community of changemakers in the city of Richmond. This student’s powerful words clearly demonstrate that their motivation is a similar balance of the individual and the collective. As much as they are taking control of their own trajectories, they are honoring those who have and will help them get there.
